The Situation: The life coaching process is only one of the ten human improvement processes
available to you to improve any aspect of your life. If you have
decided that you want to improve your life is some manner, you will
want to figure out how to actually reach your goals. Figuring out how
will involve selecting the best-suited human improvement process or
processes from the list below to accomplish your objectives. The best
suited process or processes for you to use are governed by what your
situation is, and by what you want to accomplish. As an example
you might consider using the consulting process (hiring a lawyer) or
using the self-help process (do it yourself) to solve a legal problem.
Another example is to attend a series of training classes, use a
personal tutor (teacher), or even use the self-help process to gain the
skills and knowledge to design web sites or to play golf.
Here
are what I consider to be the ten most popular human improvement
processes. I have also provided examples of goals or improvements
a person might gain from using each process to give you an idea of the
differences and similarities of their purposes.
The Training Process: Obtain the skills to perform a process or expand a talent by using another person to train you.
The Therapy Process:
Relieve or fix personal (psychological) burdens or problems that hamper
your life that were normally caused by past events or situations by
using another person to travel into your past and jointly confront and
reconcile the negative events to free you of these weighty burdens
The Teaching/Education Process:
Receive, and hopefully learn, and understand information, facts, and
processes that are external to you by using another person who provides
you the information, or directs you to obtain it yourself.
The Spiritual Process:
Obtain spiritual or religious guidance, information or instruction in
relating to a higher being by consoling with a spiritual leader or
person.
The Self-Help Process: Improve, fix, or accomplish anything you want on your own
The Psychiatric Process:
Correct a medical imbalance in your brain to allow you to control your
thinking to live a better life by becoming a patient of a medical
psychiatrist who will have the ability to diagnose your medical
condition and prescribe medications, diet, and other physical solutions.
The Mentoring Process:
Gain wisdom and personal advice to develop a path to solve a problem or
achieve a goal by using a wise and experienced mentor by asking them to
reveal their inner knowledge and provide sage advice to salve your
problems. A mentor can be considered a personal specific knowledge
source (library) and expertise source.
The Life Coaching Process: Achieve your coachable goals
which require you to grow and improve as a person by using another
person who will concentrate only on you to dig inside you and reflect
back as a mirror who you really are and what motivates you, so you will
grow so much you will achieve your coachable goals.
The Counseling Process:
Fix personal problems that are caused by exterior and other forces by
learning how to deal with these forces (drugs, marriage, various
disorders) and live a desirable life by using another person to gain
personal understanding of the problems and plot solutions suitable to
you.
The Consulting Process:
Fix problems that are external to you, by using another person who will
either tell you what to do or fix the problem for you or some
combination of the two.
If you
determine that the life coaching process is the right method for you to
achieve your goals you will want to be sure the right conditions exist

how do you determine if the life coaching process is right for you, and
how do you determine if all four of the key conditions to successful
life coaching are met for you?

short. This is not because I want to keep you from finding other
valuable sources. On the contrary, it is because I cannot find
